PowerPutt Hole Showcases are here, ready to turn your –10's into –15's and your –20's into record low scores! The next hole to be dissected is Freaky Tiki #5, perhaps the most distinct par-3 in the entire game!

Hole 5 is a very interesting to say the least, and Johnny Cash would definitely be a fan of the "Ring(s) of Fire." The rings are actually much deadlier than the fire because they are placed directly above a water hazard, meaning anything slightly off could mean big trouble. From the starting tee boxes, the player has two distinct (well, technically three) choices when deciding how to play.

Hole #4The first is to avoid the danger altogether and go around the hazards. Unfortunately, this takes getting the hole-in-one out of the equation entirely and can actually lead to a tough second shot if you're not precise with your first. If you do decide to play it safe, make sure you hit your first shot hard enough to ensure you get a look at the hole.

The worst thing you can do here is play safe and still end up with par. That, my friends, should never happen. To avoid this, I suggest the following.

Go for it! While the rings of fire can be intimidating, in actuality this shot isn't that tough. The hardest part of this shot is the timing. Because the rings move in different directions, you need to hit your shot when there is the largest opening. Typically, this is when all three moving rings are center of one another.

Don't worry too much about speed. In fact, hit your ball hard enough to ensure that it doesn't come close to going in the hazard. Once it gets over, it should ricochet off the back wall and come sailing back towards the hole.

While this might sound like "luck" would be involved, you can give yourself a great chance to get an ace if your aim is spot on. When you are positioned in the left or right tee area this might not be as easy. Still, by adjusting for the bank off the back wall you can at least ensure you have a chance.

The nice part about going for it is that you put yourself at very little risk once you get past the flaming rings. You're also pretty much guaranteed a tap-in birdie by simply getting across. This in itself makes this the ideal path worth taking.

You might end up in the hazard when you're learning the shot, but it shouldn't cause you much problems after that. The ace should be yours at least 25% of the time once you learn the shot, and this extra stroke could prove huge once you get later on in your round!
